Curves

What can you do with leaves from an old maple [above photo] and old obsolete CD-Rom discs?

We had the maple tree in the backyard pruned in the Fall last year. It looked pretty bare and forlorn during the bleak Winter months. In the Spring, though, new leaf buds began to sprout and then started shooting new thin supple stems some of which got rather long. Being supple they were easily bendable into forming arcs.

I'm always wondering what could be done with old CD-Roms. They are beautiful iridescent circles on one side and often colorful on the other. The circles of the one suggested the curves of the other and an Ikebana of echoing curves emerged in a rather interesting combination of vegetable and plastic.
